Delete your account
Effective 15 September 2026
You can delete your Aligned Hearts account at any time. There is no retention call, no form asking why, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
- Open the Aligned Hearts app
- Tap You
- Tap Account
- Under Delete account, type DELETE
- Tap Delete my account
Your data is erased immediately and you are signed out on every device.
Option 2 — By email
Email hello@alignedhearts.com from the address on your account with the subject Delete my account. We will confirm it is you and delete within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Option 3 — Export first, then delete
If you want a copy of your data before it goes, email hello@alignedhearts.com from the address on your account and ask for an export. We will send you a machine-readable file. Then delete.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, photographs, and everything you wrote about yourself
- Your Five Alignments ranking and descriptions
- Your intake file and any coaching session notes
- Your messages with other members
- Your saved preferences, blocks and settings
- Your event connections
- Your marketing preferences and email subscription
- Device identifiers and usage history associated with your account
What we keep, and why
A small amount of information survives deletion, because the law requires it or because deleting it would let a removed account walk straight back in.

Everything not in that table is gone.
Timing
- In the app, deletion is immediate when you confirm.
- By email, live systems are cleared within 30 days of us confirming it is you.
- Backups are purged on a rolling cycle completed within 90 days. Backups are not accessible for ordinary use during that window.
Things worth knowing
Deletion is permanent. There is no undo and no reactivation. Starting again means a new account.
You do not have to delete to take a break. You → Account → Deactivate hides your profile from everyone for 7 days, 30 days, or until you turn it back on. Nothing is deleted. Plenty of people use this instead.
Your conversations disappear for the other person too. Messages you sent become unavailable once your account is gone.

Just want some of it gone?
You do not have to delete everything to change something.

- Unsubscribe from marketing, keeping your account — one click in any email
- Correct something inaccurate — edit in the app, or email us for anything you cannot reach
